Ken Bryant, Lax-Kw'alaams

"It's devastating for this community, for myself, for us as fishermen."

Ken Bryant is a commercial harvester from Lax-Kw'alaams, a Tsimshian village located between the mouths of the Skeena and Nass Rivers where he has seen fewer and fewer fishery openings. This past year? He was tied up at the docks while just across the border "these guys are fishing four days a week; every year they're fishing four days a week while we're sitting here tied up."

And, as Ken says in the video below, it keeps getting worse and worse.
