Chief Na'Moks, Tasyu Clan, Wet'suwet'en

Salmon are vital to the Wet'suwet'en people. The Nation's traditional territories feed the mighty Skeena and Fraser rivers. Chief Na'Moks of the Tsayu Clan of the Wet'suwet'en "takes it as a high responsibility" to ensure salmon return to their territories to spawn. 


And if you exploit what is there? "You're damaging for the future." This is why, when it comes to the Alaskan interception of B.C. fish, Chief Na'Moks asks those fisheries to be moved to ensure salmon make it back to their spawning beds—for the future.
